| Grape blend : 60% cabernet sauvignon - 40% merlot. |
| The wheater :
An average winter and spring generated a normal flowering. The summer was
hot and reasonably sunny. The harvest was led at the end of september without
hardly any rains. The grapes were small and concentratred. The prospects of a great vintage. |

The wine : "Good colour. There is class here. And good austerity of course. But more personality than most 1988s. This is very good. Medium full. Finely balanced. Good classy fruit. Long, even with dimension and subtlety. Very good tannins. Rather more elegant than the 1989 and 1990" Clive Coates M.W. The Vine |
