| Grape blend : 60% cabernet sauvignon - 40% merlot. |
| The wheater : A wet and mild winter. A slow start in april followed by an outburst in may produced a rather late flowering by the end of june. The summer was splendid with however heavy occasional rains in september which swelled the grapes. The harvest started by begining october under sunshine and the crop showed a great potential. |

The wine :
Very good colour. Possibly a bit austere but no lack of substance with
richness and depth on the nose. Not as classy as the 1988 but shows some
style. |
